Configuring Basic MLD Snooping Functions


After basic MLD snooping is configured, the device can generate and maintain the IPv6 Layer 2 multicast forwarding table to distribute multicast data to the receivers at the data link layer as service requires.

Pre-configuration Tasks

Before configuring basic MLD snooping functions, complete the following tasks:
  • Connect interfaces and setting physical parameters on the interfaces so that the physical status of the interfaces becomes Up.
  • Create VLANs.
  • Add interfaces to VLANs.

Configuration Process

Only Enabling MLD Snooping and Configuring the MLD Snooping Version are mandatory. The other tasks can be selected according to your requirements.
