The local CE cannot communicate with the remote CE because the CE ID exceeds the range.


Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
Local: Indicates the local device.
CeId Indicates the local CE ID.
VpnRd Indicates the local VPN Route Distinguisher (RD).
Remote: Indicates the remote device.
CeId Indicates the remote CE ID.
Pe Indicates the IP address of the remote PE.
VpnRd Indicates the remote VPN RD.

Possible Causes

When the Kompella VLL is configured, the ID of the local CE was beyond the range on the remote CE.


  1. Change the ID of the local CE to be smaller one or extend the range on the remote CE.
