A powered device (PD) connected to the interface was in an overvoltage condition.

[STRING] Indicates the name of the interface where the PD was in an overvoltage condition.

Possible Causes

The actual voltage on the interface is higher than the voltage allowed by the interface.


  1. Increase the allowed voltage on the interface.

    Run the poe power command in the interface view to increase the allowed voltage on the interface. The default voltage on the interface is 37 W.

  2. Replace the PD.
