Compiling and Loading MIB Files

Compiling and Loading MIB Files

After obtaining a MIB file, you can compile and load the MIB file to the MIB management tool.

Before compiling a MIB file, ensure that its dependent MIB files have been compiled.

You can compile a single MIB file or MIB files in a batch. The third-party open source software, MG-SOFT MIB Browser, is used as an example.

Loading a MIB File

A successfully compiled MIB file is in unloaded state. When a MIB that a user searches for is a proprietary MIB and in unloaded state, load the compiled MIB file to the MIB file list. Then the MIB can be loaded to the MIB tree.

  1. Run the MG-SOFT MIB Browser and click at the bottom of the MIB Browser. After the MIB file list is refreshed, select the MIB files to be loaded and click Load Selected MIB Modules.
    NOTE:

To load all MIB files, click Load All Available MIB Modules.
