The value of this object identifies the type of an encapsulation protocol.

By default, the type of the encapsulated protocol is PPP.

This object is implemented as defined in the corresponding MIB files.

Creation Restriction

No entry can be created in this table.

Modification Restriction

On the AR, the value of hwBundleSerialLinkProtocol can be set to either ietf or non-ietf on the serial interface of LPUD and LPUF. The serial interfaces on other LPUs, however, cannot be enabled with FR (in IETF or non-IETF mode) encapsulation. That is, hwBundleSerialLinkProtocol cannot be set to ietf or non-ietf on other LPUs. In addition, at present, hwBundleSerialLinkProtocol cannot be set to lapb.

Deletion Restriction

The entries in this table cannot be deleted.

Access Restriction

The entries in this table can be read without restriction.
