Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

In practice, if the initiator is located on a private network and the responder is located on the public network side. To ensure that an IPSec can be set up when the NAT device exists, solve the NAT traversal problem.

Through NAT traversal, a NAT gateway between both ends is found during IKE negotiation, so that ESP packets can traverse the NAT gateway.

When the referenced IKE proposal (ike proposal) uses pre-shared key authentication or RSA signature authentication, specify name in the local-id-type command.

If NAT traversal is enabled, the IPSec proposal (ipsec proposal) supports only ESP.
