Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

When an IPSec tunnel is established in IKE negotiation mode, you need to reference an IKE peer and configure attributes between IKE peers during IKE negotiation.

IKE has two versions: IKEv1 and IKEv2.

Follow-up Procedure

Run the ike-peer command to reference the IKE peer.

Precautions

When creating an IKE peer, you must specify the version number. If you have entered the IKE peer view, you do not need to enter the version number.

Example

# Configure the IKE peer huawei to use IKEv1.

<Huawei> system-view
[Huawei] ike peer huawei v1
