Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

The negotiated power for some non-standard and unclassifiable PDs may not be the required power. You can configure the maximum output power for a port to prevent a power overload of the PD connected to the port and also save power.

The PoE function has been enabled on the port using the poe enable port command.

# Set the maximum output power to 20000 mW for port 0.
[Huawei] poe enable port 0
[Huawei] poe power port 0 20000
Warning: This operation may power off the PD of this port.Continue?[Y/N]:y
