Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

The tunnel remote command configures an IP address for the remote end of an IPSec tunnel.

If an IPSec policy is created manually, you must run the tunnel remote ip-address command so that an SA can be created. An IPSec tunnel can be set up successfully only when the local and remote addresses are correctly configured.

Precautions

If an IPSec policy is created manually, the tunnel remote at the local end must be the same as the local IP tunnel local at the remote end.

Example

# Configure the IP address for the remote end of the IPSec tunnel to 10.1.1.2.
