Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

The ike local-name command is used for ID negotiation between IKE peers. When name is specified in the local-id-type command, the local end uses the local name (ike local-name) and the peer end uses the remote name (remote-name) for negotiation.

When IKE negotiation is performed based on the name, note the following points:

  • ike local-name configured on the local end must be the same as remote-name configured on the remote end.

  • If ike local-name is not configured on the local end, the name specified by the sysname command is used for IKE negotiation.

# Set the local host name used in IKE negotiation to huawei.
