BFD/6/CREATE_SESS_ERR:Failed to create BFD session. It will be created again later. (ConfigurationName=[STRING])

Description

Failed to create a BFD session and it would be re-created later.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
ConfigurationName indicates the configuration name of the BFD session.

Possible Causes

An error occurs during the setup of the BFD session. The possible causes are as follows:

1. Failed to choose a master process board.

2. The number of BFD sessions reached the upper limit specified in the PAF.

Procedure

  1. Run the display bfd session command to check whether the BFD session is created.

    (1) If so, go to Step 5.

    (2) If not, go to Step 2.

  2. Run the display bfd statistics command to check whether the number of BFD sessions reaches the upper limit.

    (1) If so, delete redundant BFD sessions.

    (2) If not, go to Step 3.

  3. Run the display device command to check the type of the interface board and check whether the board supports BFD.

    (1) If yes, go to Step 4.

    (2) If not, replace an interface board that supports BFD.

  4. Collect log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
  5. End.
