Installing the Tool Package (Windows)

Operation Scenario

Install the tool package for managing the ES3000 V3. The ES3000 V3 tool is incompatible with the NVMe driver built in the Windows OS. Ensure that you have installed Huawei's NVMe driver before using the tool.


  • You have correctly installed the ES3000 V3 on the server.
  • You have downloaded the tool package and verified its integrity.
  • You have uploaded the tool package to the server by using Windows Secure Copy (WinSCP) or other software.


  1. Log in to the operating system (OS) as an administrator or administrator group member.
  2. Double-click the tool package file hioadm_v3.3.5.4_x86_64.msi.

    v3.3.5.4 indicates a driver version number. This procedure uses hioadm_v3.3.5.4_x86_64.msi as an example.
    The installation interface is displayed, as shown in Figure 3-20.

  3. Click Next.

    The End-User License Agreement window is displayed, as shown in Figure 3-21.

  4. Select I accept the terms in the License Agreement and click Next.

    The Destination Folder window is displayed, as shown in Figure 3-22.

  5. Select a folder for installing the tool and click Next.

    The Ready to install window is displayed, as shown in Figure 3-23.

  6. Click Install to start installation.

    When the installation is complete, the Completing Setup Wizard window is displayed, as shown in Figure 3-24.

  7. Click Finish.
  8. Copy windows\Windows_Tool\diagnostic_win.bat to C:\Program Files (x86)\hioadm.
