Viewing the Installation Status of HDFS Plugin

Viewing the Installation Status of HDFS Plugin

If there exist Hadoop nodes and clients that are reading files from or writing files to the OceanStor 9000, HDFS Plugin installation status is normal. If no such Hadoop nodes or clients exist, use the Hadoop Shell command to check whether the installation status is normal.

Prerequisites

OceanStor 9000 has interconnected with the Hadoop cluster.

Procedure

  1. Check the Hadoop cluster status.

When the OceanStor 9000 is interconnected with FusionInsight Hadoop, if Health Status of all services is Good, as shown in Figure 14-26, the cluster status is normal.

Figure 14-26  Checking the FusionInsight Hadoop cluster status

When the OceanStor 9000 is interconnected with Cloudera Hadoop, if the status of all components is shown as Figure 14-27, the cluster status is normal.

  2. Log in to a Hadoop client.

When the OceanStor 9000 is interconnected with FusionInsight Hadoop, run the following command:

    1. Log in to any Hadoop client as user root.
    2. Go to the installation path of Hadoop client (for example: /opt/client), run cd /opt/client.
    3. Run source bigdata_env to configure environmental variables of the client.
    4. When FusionInsight Hadoop adopts the security mode, run kinit admin and enter the login password of the client user.

When FusionInsight Hadoop adopts the non-security mode, skip this step.

When the OceanStor 9000 is interconnected with Cloudera Hadoop, you can log in to any Hadoop node as user root because the Hadoop client software has been embedded in each Hadoop node.

  3. Run the following command:

    client:~ # hadoop fs -mkdir /mytest
    ...
    client:~ # hadoop fs -ls /
    ...
    Found 8 items
    ...
    drwxr-xr-x - hdfs hadoop 4096 2015-10-23 22:59 /mytest
    ...
    client:~ # cd /mnt/nfsdata0
    client:/mnt/nfsdata0 # ll
    total 68
    ...
    drwxrwxrwx 4 root root 4096 Oct 23 2015 mytest
    -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 19 Oct 23 2015 mytest.Meta~$%^
    ...

If the command is successfully executed and the mytest directory is displayed, the Cloudera Hadoop cluster status is normal.

  4. Run the following command to clear test data:

    client:/mnt/nfsdata0 # hadoop fs -rmdir /mytest
