Configuration Analysis

Collaborative working

When OceanStor 9000 is used for collaborative working, shared data in the storage system is vulnerable to viruses due to complex working environment, frequent data exchange, and poor network security. Effective antivirus management for the working environment can prevent data in the storage system from being infected by viruses and prevent viruses from being spread widely.

Figure 8-5 shows the collaborative working scenario. To ensure security of shared data in OceanStor 9000, you can configure shared directories in the storage system as real-time scan directories. By doing so, viruses in the files in the directories, if any, can be detected.

Archiving scenario

Archiving is a process that archives valuable data for future retrieval. If archive data is infected by viruses, the viruses are easily spread to other data in the archive.

Figure 8-6 shows the archiving scenario. To ensure security of shared data in OceanStor 9000, you can configure shared directories in the storage system as periodical scan directories. By doing so, viruses in the files in the directories, if any, can be detected.
