Disabling Password Complexity Check

Disabling Password Complexity Check

By default, the security policy function is enabled for local accounts on CE switches to ensure security. When the local account password is created or changed in the AAA view, the switch checks the password complexity.

The switch also performs the preceding operation after the password complexity check is enabled for local accounts.

Because simple passwords will cause security risks to the device and services, you are advised to keep password complexity check enabled.

To disable password complexity check, run the following commands:
<HUAWEI> system-view
[~HUAWEI] aaa
[~HUAWEI-aaa] undo local-user policy security-enhance //Disable security policy for local accounts.
[*HUAWEI-aaa] undo local-user policy password complexity-enhance //If password complexity check for local accounts is configured, disable it.
