Using a History Password

Using a History Password

By default, the security policy for local account is enabled on CE switches to ensure device security. You cannot change the password to any of the most recent 10 passwords.

If the password complexity check is configured, the new password cannot be the same as any of the most recent 10 passwords.

To use a history password, run the following commands:
<HUAWEI> system-view
[~HUAWEI] aaa
[~HUAWEI-aaa] undo local-user policy security-enhance //Disable the security policy for local account.
[*HUAWEI-aaa] undo local-user policy password complexity-enhance //If password complexity check has been enabled, disable the password complexity check.
[*HUAWEI-aaa] commit
