How Do I View Information Such as Interface Status and Packet Statistics?

How Do I View Information Such as Interface Status and Packet Statistics?

Run the display this interface command in the interface view to check the physical status, protocol status, traffic statistics, and the number of dropped packets of the interface.

NOTE:
  • When receiving or sending jumbo frames, the CE6880EI adds the number of jumbo frames to the jumbo frame statistics, and also add the number to the corresponding unicast, multicast, or broadcast packet statistics.

  • For the CE6880-48S4Q2CQ-EI and CE6880-48T4Q2CQ-EI, meanings of the following fields differ from those on other switches:
    • The Total Error field displays --. CRC indicates the number of packets with length exceeding 64 bytes and incorrect FCS values. Giants indicates the number of received packets with length exceeding the maximum jumbo frame size. Runts indicates the number of received undersized frames. The values of Jabbers and Fragments are 0.
    • For 10GE1/0/1 to 10GE1/0/12 on the CE6880-48S4Q2CQ-EI and CE6880-48T4Q2CQ-EI, the Jumbo field under the Output field displays --.
  • For CE6865EI, Giants indicates the number of received packets with length exceeding the maximum jumbo frame size.

  • When the last five GE interfaces (interfaces 43 to 47) on the CEL48GTEGA-E card receive Runts or Giants error packets, the system adds the number of received packets to the Runts or Giants field, and also adds the number to the corresponding Unicast, Multicast, or Broadcast field.
