Configuring a Port Group

Configuring a Port Group

To configure the same service on multiple interfaces, you can configure a port group to reduce the configuration workload and prevent misconfigurations.

Port groups are classified into temporary and permanent port groups. Their differences are as follows:
  • Temporary port group: After you exit from the port group view, interfaces in the port group are removed from the port group. To configure the interfaces in a batch again, you need to recreate the port group.
  • Permanent port group: After you exit from the port group view, interfaces in the port group remain in the port group. To configure the interfaces in a batch again, you only need to enter the port group view again.
