Configuring Traffic Mirroring

In traffic mirroring, specified service packets on a mirrored port are copied to an observing port for analysis and monitoring.

  1. Configure an observing port. For example, configure local observing port 10GE1/0/2 that directly connects to a monitoring device.

  2. Configure a traffic classifier. For example, configured traffic classifier c1 to match packets with 802.1p priority 6.

  3. Configure a traffic behavior. For example, configure traffic behavior b1 to copy packets matching the rules to the observing port.
