Changing the Lease

Changing the Lease

You can change the lease on a switch as a DHCP server. When allocating a lease to a DHCP client, the DHCP server compares the lease required by the DHCP client and the lease of IP addresses in the address pool, and allocates the shorter lease to the DHCP client.

When a switch functions as a DHCP server, the default lease is one day.

# Change the lease of IP addresses in the global address pool pool1 to 10 days on a switch as a DHCP server.
