The set faultypathcheckinterval command is used to set an interval for rountine detection of faulty paths.


set faultypathcheckinterval -i interval

The value ranges from 1 to 2,592,000, expressed in seconds.

Usage Guidelines

Although a smaller interval helps detect faulty paths more quickly, more system resources are consumed. Therefore, when setting the interval, try to strike a balance between system reliability and performance.


Set the interval for routine detection of faulty paths to 10 seconds.

~ # esxcli upadm set faultypathcheckinterval -i 10 
Succeeded in executing the command.
