Function

The create fs_snapshot schedule command is used to create a schedule of a periodic snapshot in a file system.

create fs_snapshot schedule name=? file_system_id=? period=? [ day_of_week=? ] [ week_start_time=? ] [ day_of_month=? ] [ month_start_time=? ] [ hour_of_day=? ] [ minute_of_hour=? ] [ frequency_time=? ]

name=? Indicates the name of the schedule of a periodic snapshot.

The value consists of 1 and 31 ASCII characters including number, letters, periods (.), underscores (_), and hyphens (-).

file_system_id=? Indicates the ID of a file system.

The value is an integer between 0 and 65535.

period=? Indicates the policy of a schedule.

The value can be "daily", "weekly", "monthly" , or "frequency", where,

  • daily: to create a periodic snapshot on a daily basis
  • weekly: to create a periodic snapshot on a weekly basis
  • monthly: to create a periodic snapshot on a monthly basis.
  • frequency: to create a periodic snapshot on a fixed interval.
If more than one policies are selected, separate them with commas (,). For example, period=daily,weekly.
day_of_week=? Indicates the day of a week to create a periodic snapshot.

The value can be "mon", "tue", "wed", "thu", "fri", "sat", or "sun".

If multiple days must be selected, separate them with commas (,). For example, day_of_week=mon,tue.

week_start_time=? Indicates the time of a week to create a periodic snapshot.

The value is a time between "00:00" and 23:59" in the format of "HH:MM".

day_of_month=? Indicates the day of a month to create a periodic snapshot.

The value is an integer between 1 and 31.

hour_of_day=? Indicates the hour of a day to create a periodic snapshot.

The value is an integer between 0 and 23.

If more than hours are selected, separate them with commas (,). For example, hour_of_day=1,2,3.

minute_of_hour=? Indicates the minute a hour of a day to create a periodic snapshot.

The value is an integer between 0 and 59.

month_start_time=? Indicates the time of a month to create a periodic snapshot.

The value is a time between "00:00" and 23:59" in the format of "HH:MM".

frequency_time=? Indicates the fixed interval to create a periodic snapshot.

The value is an integer between 1 and 1439.

Usage Guidelines

  • Before running this command, check that the ID of the file system is correct.
  • Before running this command: check whether the name of the schedule already exists.
  • Before running this command: check whether the file system already has a schedule.
  • When "period" is set to "daily", "hour_of_day, minute_of_hour" must be entered.
  • When "period" is set to "weekly", "day_of_week, week_start_time" must be entered.
  • When "period" is set to "monthly", "day_of_month, month_start_time" must be entered.
  • When "period" is set to "frequency", "frequency_time" must be entered.
  • This command does not support OceanStor 2200 V3 storage system.

Example

To create a periodic snapshot schedule for file system 1, run the following command:

admin:/>create fs_snapshot schedule name=auto file_system_id=1 period=daily,weekly,monthly,frequency day_of_week=sun week_start_time=12:23 day_of_month=5 month_start_time=12:25 hour_of_day=12 minute_of_hour=20 frequency_time=10
