Usage Guidelines

  • The prerequisite for running this command is that the selected storage pool contains at least two storage tiers.
  • I/O monitoring policies will regularly analyze the data stored in different tiers of the storage pool, and the resulted data will be used as a substantial reference for formulating data relocation policies.

Example

To create an I/O monitoring policy in storage pool "2", where the name of the policy is "newmonitor", and the policy will be started from "00:00" and lasts for "30" minutes on each Monday, run the following command:

admin:/>create schedule monitor name=newmonitor pool_id=2 period=weekly day_of_week=mon start_time=00:00 duration=00:30
Command executed successfully.
