add clone secondary_lun

Function

The add clone secondary_lun command is used to add secondary logical unit numbers (LUNs) for a clone task. After a clone task has been successfully created, you must add a secondary LUN to compose a clone pair with the primary LUN by running this command.

Format

add clone secondary_lun clone_id=? lun_id=? { initial_synchronization=? | synchronization_rate=? | recovery_policy=? } *

clone_id=? ID of a clone task.

To obtain the value, run "show clone general".

lun_id=? ID of a secondary LUN that you want to add.

To obtain the value, run "show lun general".

initial_synchronization=? Whether or not to implement initial synchronization for a newly added secondary LUN.

The value can be:

  • "yes": Initial synchronization will be performed.
  • "no": Initial synchronization will not be performed.
The default value is "yes".
synchronization_rate=? A synchronization rate.

The value can be

  • "Low": indicates the low rate.
  • "Middle": indicates the medium rate.
  • "High": indicates the high rate.
  • "Highest": indicates the highest rate.
The default value is "Middle".
recovery_policy=? A recovery policy.

The value can be:

  • "manual": indicates manual recovery.
  • "automatic": indicates automatic recovery.
The default value is "automatic".

Usage Guidelines

  • To add a secondary LUN for a clone task, run "add clone secondary_lun clone_id=? lun_id=?".
  • To add a secondary LUN and configure whether to implement initial synchronization and a synchronization rate and a recovery policy for the LUN, run "add clone secondary_lun clone_id=? lun_id=? initial_synchronization=? synchronization_rate=? recovery_policy=?".

Example

To add secondary LUN "14" to clone task "0", run the following command:

admin:/>add clone secondary_lun clone_id=0 lun_id=14
