Function

The change quota_tree general command is used to modify the quota tree information in the file system.

Format

change quota_tree general quota_tree_id=? { quota_tree_name=? | quota_switch=? } *

quota_tree_id=? Quota tree ID. The parameter value is in the format of FSID@QuotaTreeID. FSID ranges from 0 to 65535, and QuotaTreeID ranges from 0 to 4096.

To obtain the value, run the "show quota_tree general" command.

quota_tree_name=? Quota tree name.

The value contains 1 to 127 characters including numbers, letters, and underscores "_".

quota_switch=? Quota switch status.

The value can be "on"(quota is enable) or "off"(quota is disable).

Usage Guidelines

Enter at least one of the following parameters: "quota_tree_name" and "quota_switch".

Example

  • Running the command to change the name of the quota tree whose ID is 0@1 to newqtree.

    admin:/>change quota_tree general quota_tree_id=0@1 quota_tree_name=newqtree
    Command executed successfully.
  • Running the command to disable the quota function for the quota tree whose ID is 0@1.

    admin:/>change quota_tree general quota_tree_id=0@1 quota_switch=off
    Command executed successfully.
  • Running the command to enable the quota function for the quota tree whose ID is 0@1.

    admin:/>change quota_tree general quota_tree_id=0@1 quota_switch=on
    WARNING: You are about to turn on the quota switch of the quota tree. Before performing this operation, note the following:
    1.After the quota switch is turned on, all files and directories under the quota tree will be scanned. The time required for scanning is subject to the number of files and directories under the quota tree.
    2.The time required for scanning is also subject to the system workload, including the workload on the CPU, memory, and disks.
    3.Before the state of the quota switch changes to On, the quota function is invalid.
    Suggestion: Before performing this operation, ensure that it is necessary to turn on the quota switch of the quota tree.
