create resource_user general


The create resource_user general command is used to create a resource user.


create resource_user general name=? primary_group_name=? [ user_id=? ] [ secondary_group_names=? ]





name=? The name of a resource user.

The value consists of minimal length of a user name(view the minimum length by running the show resource_user safe_strategy command

) to 32 characters, and cannot contain spaces, control character or any of the following special characters: "/\[]:;|=,+*?<>@. The last character cannot be a period(.).

primary_group_name=? The name of a primary resource group.

The value contains 1 to 32 characters.

user_id=? The ID of a resource user.

The value ranges from 0 to 900,000.

secondary_group_names=? Secondary group associated with the resource user.

A maximum of 31 secondary group names can be specified, and they must be separated from each other using commas (,).



Usage Guidelines

This command does not support OceanStor 2200 V3 storage system.


  • To create a resource user, run the following command.

    admin:/>create resource_user general name=user01 primary_group_name=group1
    Reenter password:********
    Command executed successfully.
  • To query all resource users, run the following command.

    admin:/>show resource_user general
    User ID User Name Primary Group ID Primary Group Name User Type Status Enabled  Passwd Expired Time(Days)
