add cache_partition file_system


The add cache_partition file_system command is used to add filesystem(s) to a specified cache partition.


add cache_partition file_system cache_partition_id=? file_system_id_list=?





cache_partition_id=? ID of the cache partition to which you want to add filesystem(s).

To obtain the value, run "show cache_partition general".

file_system_id_list=? ID list of the filesystem(s) that you want to add to a cache partition.
  • To obtain the value, run "show file_system general".
  • If you need to add multiple filesystem(s), separate the filesystem IDs with commas (,),or ID range separated by hyphens(-), such as: 0,5-8.



Usage Guidelines

OceanStor 2200 V3 storage system do not support this command.


To add filesystem 0 to cache partition 0, run the following command.

admin:/>add cache_partition file_system cache_partition_id=0 file_system_id_list=0
DANGER: You are about to add file system into SmartPartition.
This operation may affect file system performance. During the operation, this file system cannot process new I/O requests. The file system can process new I/O requests when its health status is "Normal" and its running status is "Online".
Suggestion: Before performing this operation, ensure that the preceding risk is acceptable and the correct SmartPartition and file system are selected.
