Function

The create share cifs command is used to create a CIFS share.

Format

create share cifs name=? local_path=? [ continue_available_enabled=? ] [ oplock_enabled=? ] [ notify_enabled=? ] [ file_system_id=? ] [ smb2_ca_enabled=? ]

Parameters

name=? Indicates the name of the CIFS share.

The value consists of 1 to 80 characters excluding \"/\\[]:|<>+;,?*=.

local_path=? Indicates the local path directory.

The value consists of 1 to 1023 characters.

oplock_enabled=? Indicates the switch of the opportunistic locking. By using opportunistic locking, a client can lock a file. A server can cancel the locking.

The value can be yes or no with yes being the default, where

  • yes: to enable the oplock function.
  • no: to disable the oplock function.
notify_enabled=? Indicates the switch of the notify function.

The value can be yes or no with yes being the default, where

  • yes: to enable the notify function.
  • no: to disable the notify function.
file_system_id=? Indicates the ID of the file system to which the CIFS belongs.

The value is an integer between 0 and 65535. Run show file_sytem general to obtain the value.

continue_available_enabled=? Indicates the switch of the continue available function.

The value can be yes or no with yes being the default, where

  • yes: to enable the continue_available function.
  • no: to disable the continue_available function.
smb2_ca_enabled=? Indicates the switch of the smb2 continus avaliable function.

The value can be yes or no with yes being the default, where

  • yes: to enable the smb2 continus available function.
  • no: to disable the smb2 continus available function.

Usage Guidelines

Parameters name and local_path must be entered at the same time.

This command does not support OceanStor 2200 V3 storage system.

Example

  • To create a CIFS share, run the following command.

    admin:/>create share cifs name=cifs0 local_path=/fs001
    Command executed successfully.
  • To query a CIFS share, run the following command:

    admin:/>show share cifs
      Share ID  Name   File System ID  Local Path  
      --------  -----  --------------  ----------  
      8         cifs0  0               /fs001/
