Viewing SmartCache Partition Information

This operation enables you to view information about a SmartCache partition.


The license for SmartCache has been imported.


  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Provisioning > Resource Performance Tuning > SmartCache > SmartCache Partition.
  3. View SmartCache partition information. Table 3-2 describes related parameters.

    Name of the SmartCache partition.

    The name must meet the following requirements so that the SmartCache partition is available to compatible applications:

    • The name must be unique.
    • The name can contain only letters, digits, underscores (_), periods (.), and hyphens (-).
    • The name contains 1 to 31 characters.




    ID of the SmartCache partition.



    Owning Engine

    Engine of the SmartCache partition.



    Expect Capacity

    The capacity of the SmartCache partition you expect to use.

    The Expect Capacity, Used Capacity, and Free Capacity of a partition must comply with the following principle:

    (Used capacity of partition A + Free capacity of partition A)/Total capacity of SSDs in SmartCache pools on the engine to which partition A belongs ≈ Expect capacity of partition A/Sum of the maximum capacity of SmartCache pools on the engine to which partition A belongs

    Free capacity of the SmartCache partition.

    SSD Real-Time Hit Ratio (%)

    Every 10 seconds, the ratio of read I/O hits of data in the SmartCache partition to the total read I/O requests the SmartCache partition receives. For example, the SmartCache partition receives 10 read I/O requests, 5 of them successfully processed in the partition, therefore the SSD real-time hit ratio is 50%.
