Before centrally managing storage resources, make network and service plans to facilitate subsequent operations.

Network Planning

According to the requirement analysis, the OceanStor 2200 V3/2600 V3 needs to be deployed to host LUNs created on the EMC VNX5500, and the existing direct connection network needs to be restructured into a Fibre Channel switch connection network. Before configuring central resource management, the customer needs to connect the OceanStor 2200 V3/2600 V3 to the existing network. Figure 6-5 shows the new network.

Table 6-8 lists the zones created to ensure normal communication among storage systems and application servers.

Service Planning

From the conclusions of the requirement analysis, it can be inferred that the university uses SmartVirtualization of the OceanStor 2200 V3/2600 V3 to take over the Oracle database services from the EMC VNX5500. Figure 6-6 illustrates the configuration roadmap.
