Logging In to the CMC WebUI

Scenarios

Log in to the central management console (CMC) WebUI.

You can use the CMC WebUI to quickly and easily monitor, manage, and configure a server.

Prerequisites

Conditions

No special conditions are required for this operation.

Data

You have obtained the following data:

  • IP address of the CMC management network port
  • CMC user name and password

For details about the default data, see Default Data.

Procedure

  1. Set an IP address for the PC, and ensure that the IP address is on the same network segment as the IP address for the CMC management network port.
  2. Connect the PC to the CMC management network port by using a network cable.
  3. Open a browser on the PC.

    Table 9-1 lists the version requirements for the operating system (OS), browser, and Java Runtime Environment (JRE).

  4. Enter the IP address for the CMC management network port in the address box, and press Enter.
  5. In the security alert dialog box shown in Figure 9-1, click Continue to this website (not recommended).

    The login page is displayed, as shown in Figure 9-2.

  6. Enter your user name and password.
  7. Click Log In.

    Figure 9-3 shows the Overview page displayed after login.
