Configuring the BIOS

Configuring the BIOS

Configure the basic input/output system (BIOS) for each physical partition of the 9016 server through the Remote Virtual Console of the central management console (CMC) WebUI.

The BIOS configuration includes the following:

  • Boot priority
  • BIOS password
  • The password complexity check function is enabled by default.
  • A simple password is easy to crack, which makes the system vulnerable. You are advised to use a password that meets complexity requirements or to enable the password complexity check function.
  • To ensure system security, change your initial password at the first login and change the password periodically.

For details about other BIOS parameters, see

  • The 9016 server is powered on.
  • You have logged in to the CMC WebUI.

Default BIOS password: Huawei12#$
