Possible Causes

  • The lower threshold for minor alarms is not properly set for the sensor.
  • The RTC battery of the CMC has aged.

Procedure

  1. Run the smmget -t CMC RTC Battery -d thresholdall command on the CMC CLI, and check whether the lower threshold for minor alarms is set correctly.

The proper threshold for the sensor is as follows:

    CMC RTC Battery: 2.79 V

  2. Run the smmset -t CMC RTC Battery -d lowernoncritical -v value command (value indicates the lower threshold for minor alarms) on the CMC CLI to change the lower threshold for minor alarms. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to Step 3.

  3. Run the reboot command to restart the CMC. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to Step 4.

  4. Replace the CMC. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to Step 5.

  5. Contact Huawei technical support.

Clearing

This alarm is cleared when the sensor detects that the voltage is higher than the lower threshold for minor alarms.

After the fault is rectified, the system automatically clears the alarm.
