Alarm Format

A standard alarm on the CMC command-line interface (CLI) consists of four fields:

  • Time

    Indicates the time when an alarm is generated, for example, Wed Jul 8 05:43:47 2015.

  • Event body

    Indicates the name of the event body for which an alarm is generated, for example, PSU.

  • Event

    Indicates alarm details, for example, Power supply failure.

  • Severity

    Indicates an alarm severity, for example, Severity:Assertion [Major].

The following is an alarm message on the CLI:

 Wed Jul 8 05:43:47 2015  
PS1 Status: Power supply failure,Severity:Assertion [Major]
