Impact on the System

Hard disks on some 4-socket physical partitions cannot be identified and used, and data on the hard disks is lost.

Possible Causes

  • The RAID controller cards are not configured based on the product model or physical partition requirements.
  • The RAID controller cards are not installed as required during static capacity expansion.


  1. Check the product model and physical partition mode.
  2. Check whether the RAID controller card configuration of the SCE for which the alarm is generated meets the requirements of the physical partitions.

  3. Power off the server, install RAID controller cards as required, and power on the server. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to Step 4.

  4. Contact Huawei technical support.
