Configuring SOL on SLES
Context
The SLES 11.x and SLES 12.x configuration windows are slightly different, but the configuration methods are the same.
Procedure
- Open the terminal, run the yast2 command, and double-click Boot Loader in Figure 16-14.
- In the window shown in Figure 16-15, remove splash=silent quiet at the end of the optional kernel command line parameter, add console=tty0 console=ttyS0,115200 to the end of the parameter, and click OK in the lower right corner.
- On the CLI, run the reboot command to restart the server for the added kernel parameter to take effect.
