Modifying a Kernel Parameter
Procedure
- Right-click on the GUI and open the Terminal screen, or connect to the server using Secure Shell (SSH). Then open the /boot/efi/EFI/oracle/grub.conf file.
- Add the parameter nowatchdog nosoftlockup rcupdate.rcu_cpu_stall_timeout=600 rcupdate.rcu_cpu_stall_suppress=1 to the end of the line where kernel /vmlinuz resides.

- Run the reboot command to restart the server for the added kernel parameter to take effect.
