What Do I Do If the GUI Fails to Respond?
Symptom
There is a low probability that the GUI fails to respond.
Cause Analysis
This problem is caused by a bug in the gnome-shell process of SLES 12.
Solution
You can solve this problem by performing the following steps:
- Log in to the system over SSH or a serial port.
- End the gnome-shell process.
# killall -9 gnome-shell
- Press Ctrl+Alt+Backspace to restart the GUI.
