Installing the Broadcom NIC Driver
Procedure
- Use the virtual DVD-ROM drive to mount the Broadcom NIC driver image file.
- Open the Device Manager window, as shown in Figure 9-23.
- Find the corresponding NIC controller, right-click it, and choose Update Driver Software on the shortcut menu displayed. See Figure 9-24.
- Select Browse my computer for driver software. See Figure 9-25.
- On the window shown in Figure 9-26, click Browse, select the drive path with a mounted driver image file, and click Next to install the driver.
- If the built-in driver in the system is of the latest version, the window shown in Figure 9-27 is displayed, indicating that the driver does not need to upgraded. If the window is displayed, click Close to end the process.
