This chapter describes the methods of some optional configurations.
This chapter uses the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) OSs as an example. The configuration method of RHEL 6.x is applicable to Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) 6.x and Red Flag Linux 4.x, and the configuration method of RHEL 7.x is applicable to OEL 7.x, Red Flag Linux 7.x, and NeoKylin Linux Advanced Server 7.x.
The memory dump and serial port redirection configurations take effect after the OS is restarted. You are advised to complete all the configurations and then restart the OS.
