Configuring the LSISAS3108 Controller Card

Prerequisites

• The LSISAS3108 RAID key has been installed and the LSISAS3108 controller card firmware has been upgraded to the latest version.
• A SAS HDD has been installed on the FIO.

Procedure

1. Start the server.
2. During the startup, press Del as prompted.

   The screen shown in Figure 1-31 is displayed.

3. On the BIOS Setup menu, select the LSISAS3108 controller card and press Enter.

   The screen shown in Figure 1-32 is displayed.

4. Select Main Menu and press Enter.

   The screen shown in Figure 1-33 is displayed.

5. Select Controller Management and press Enter.
6. Select Create Virtual Drive and press Enter.
7. Select Select RAID level and press Enter.
8. In the dialog box shown in Figure 1-34, select a RAID level to be configured and press Enter.

9. Select Select RAID Level by pressing ↑ or ↓ and press Enter.
10. Select Select Drives and press Enter.
11. Enable the driver ports for configuring a RAID array and press Enter.

    The screen shown in Figure 1-35 is displayed.

12. Select Apply Changes and press Enter.
13. Select Save Configuration and press Enter.

Result

1. On the screen shown in Figure 1-33, select Virtual Drive Management and press Enter.

The current RAID information is displayed.
