Configuring the LSISAS3008 Controller Card

Prerequisites

• The LSISAS3008 controller card firmware has been upgraded to the latest version.
• A SAS HDD has been installed on the front I/O module (FIO).

Procedure

1. Start the server.
2. During the startup, press Del as prompted.

   The screen shown in Figure 1-25 is displayed.

3. On the BIOS Setup menu, select the LSISAS3008 controller card and press Enter.

   The screen shown in Figure 1-26 is displayed.

4. Select Controller Management and press Enter.

   The screen shown in Figure 1-27 is displayed.

5. Select Create Configuration and press Enter.
6. Select Select RAID Level by pressing ↑ or ↓ and press Enter.

   The displayed dialog box shows the available RAID levels, as shown in Figure 1-28.

7. Select a RAID level to be configured and press Enter.
8. Select Select Physical Disks and press Enter.

   The hard disk selection screen is displayed, as shown in Figure 1-29.

9. Select the hard disks for configuring a RAID array.

   All selected hard disk partitions must be set to Enabled.

10. Select Apply Changes and press Enter.

    The operation confirmation screen is displayed, as shown in Figure 1-30.

11. Select Confirm and press Enter.

    The configuration is complete.

Result

1. Select Virtual Disk Management and press Enter.
2. Select Manage Virtual Disk Properties and press Enter.

The current RAID information is displayed.
