OS Installation

Procedure

1. Go to the server CMC login screen . On the CMC KVM screen, click to mount the OS ISO file, and click to mount the RAID controller card driver.
2. Restart the server. On the screen showing the BIOS version and CPU information, press DEL to go to the BIOS setup screen.
3. In the Save&Exit screen, select the DVD-ROM, as shown in Figure 8-3.

4. After the system boots from the virtual DVD-ROM drive, press any key to go to the initial installation screen, as shown in Figure 8-4.

5. Select the time zone and keyboard, and click Next, as shown in Figure 8-5.

6. Click Install Now, as shown in Figure 8-6.

7. Select Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter(Full Installation) and click Next, as shown in Figure 8-7.

8. Select I accept the license terms and click Next, as shown in Figure 8-8.

9. Click Custom(advanced), as shown in Figure 8-9.

10. Ensure that the RAID controller card driver has been loaded to the virtual floppy disk drive (FDD) and click Load Driver, as shown in Figure 8-10.

11. Click Browse to select a mounted FDD, as shown in Figure 8-11.

12. Select a detected driver file and click Next, as shown in Figure 8-12.

13. Select a logical disk on which the OS is to be installed and click Next, as shown in Figure 8-13.

14. The OS installation starts. During the installation, the system will restarts several times, do not perform any operations during the installation. See Figure 8-14.

15. After the OS installation is complete, the login page shown in Figure 8-15 is displayed. Click OK to change the password.

16. Enter the new password, confirm the password, and click the arrow on the right, as shown in Figure 8-16.

17. After the installation is complete, click OK to log in to the OS, as shown in Figure 8-17.
