Installing an IB Card Driver on Linux
Procedure
- Download the driver installation package that corresponds to the OS. For details, see Downloading an IB Card Driver.
- Copy the driver installation package to the server and run the tar command to decompress the installation package, as shown in Figure 17-28.
- Go to the driver installation directory and run the chmod 777 * command to add the permissions of all the files, as shown in Figure 17-29.
- Run the installation command ./mlnxofedinstall.
- If the error message in Figure 17-30 is displayed, install the python-libxml2 software.
- After the software is installed, run the ./mlnxofedinstall command again.
