Networking Requirements

On an enterprise network shown in Figure 2-252, EasyDeploy is deployed to implement automatic configuration, unified deployment, and unified maintenance of devices. The user requires that SwitchA serve as the Commander and SwitchC, SwitchD, and SwitchE serve as clients to form an EasyDeploy network.

Configuration Roadmap

  1. Log in to SwitchA through the web system and configure SwitchA as the Commander.

  2. Log in to SwitchC, SwitchD, and SwitchE through the web system and configure them as clients.

Procedure

  1. Log in to SwitchA through the web system and configure SwitchA as the Commander.
    1. In the navigation tree, choose System Management > EasyOperation > Role Configuration in the navigation tree to display The Role Configuration tab page is displayed.
    2. Set Role type to Commander, as shown in Figure 2-253.

    3. Enter the Commander IP address, and use the default UDP port.
    4. Click Apply.
    5. In the navigation tree, click Save. In the dialog box that is displayed, click OK to save the configuration.
  2. Log in to SwitchC, SwitchD, and SwitchE through the web system and configure them as clients.
    1. In the navigation tree, choose System Management > EasyOperation > Role Configuration in the navigation tree to display The Role Configuration tab page is displayed.
    2. Set Role type to Client, as shown in Figure 2-254.

    3. Enter the Commander IP address, which must be the same as that configured on the Commander. Use the default UDP port.
    4. Click Apply.
    5. In the navigation tree, click Save. In the dialog box that is displayed, click OK to save the configuration.
