Energy Efficiency
The RH8100 V3 provides the following features to reduce energy consumption and operating expense (OPEX) and increase energy efficiency:
- The Intel® Xeon® E7-4800/8800 series processors provide better performance over the previous-generation processors while fitting into the same thermal design power (TDP).
- The Intel® Intelligent Power Capability allows a single CPU to be powered on or off based on site requirements.
- Low-voltage Intel® Xeon® processors consume less energy and apply to data centers and telecommunication environments that have power and thermal limitations.
- The Intel® Xeon® E7 v3 processor supports DDR4 DIMMs that use 1.2 V power supply.
DDR4 DIMMs consume about 20% less power than DDR3 DIMMs with the same capacity, while increasing the bus operating frequency by about 15%.
- Solid-state drives (SSDs) consume 80% less power than traditional 2.5-inch hard disk drives (HDDs).
- RH8100 V3 supports PSUs, achieving power conversion efficiency of 94%.
- RH8100 V3 supports power capping (limited to single-system mode).
