Logic Architecture
The following figure shows the relationships between the physical CPU sockets of the RH8100 V3 (includes 4-socket hard partitions) and the CPU nodes in the system.
The like of 'S0' and 'S1' in the figure represents logic CPU nodes, and the like of slot1 and slot2 represents physical sockets. Using a 12-core CPU of the Intel Xeon 8850 V2 model as an example, the relationships among CPU cores, logic CPU nodes, and physical CPU sockets upon the enabling of hyper-threading are simplified as follows:
