Creating Subnets

Creating Subnets

This section describes the method of creating and configuring subnets.

Context

Create an IPv4 or IPv6 subnet based on the type of service IP addresses. One node can belong to only one subnet.

Procedure

  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Create a subnet.
    1. Choose Settings > Cluster Settings > InfoEqualizer > Subnet Management.
    2. Click Create, Create Subnet dialog box that is displayed.
    3. Select IPv4 Address or IPv6 Address for IP Address Type based on the subnet IP address type. Enter planned information as prompted and click OK.

      NOTE:

After creating a subnet, you cannot change its IP address type. To change its IP address type, delete the subnet and create a new one.

    4. In the Success dialog box that is displayed, click OK.

In the subnet list, you can view the newly created subnets.

    5. Repeat 2.b to 2.d to create all necessary subnets.
