Interconnection Process

Interconnection Process

This section describes the Cloudera Hadoop interconnection process.

After the OceanStor 9000 and Cloudera Hadoop are installed and the front-end service network of the OceanStor 9000 can communicate with all Hadoop node networks, follow the steps in Table 14-15 to complete the interconnection.

Stop the Hadoop cluster before interconnection, as shown in Figure 14-15.

Prepare data.

To facilitate subsequent operations, you need to prepare configuration data such as the data analysis directory name and IP addresses of all Hadoop nodes.

Configure NFS file sharing.

In OceanStor 9000, configure NFS file sharing for Cloudera Hadoop nodes.

Install HDFS Plugin for Cloudera Hadoop nodes.

Install HDFS Plugin for all Cloudera Hadoop nodes. OceanStor 9000 provides the batch deployment script. The script can be used to batch deploy HDFS Plugin to all Hadoop nodes.

For Cloudera Hadoop, the Hadoop client software has been embedded in each Hadoop node. Therefore, there is no need to install HDFS Plugin on the node where the client resides.

Verify interconnection status.

Verify whether the interconnection is successful.

(Optional) Migrate service data.

If Cloudera Hadoop has HDFS service data before it is interconnected with the OceanStor 9000, the service data needs to be migrated to OceanStor 9000. If Cloudera Hadoop has no HDFS service data before it is interconnected with the OceanStor 9000, skip this operation.
