Configuration Operations

This section describes the configuration procedure after the service planning.

Configure UniformView

  1. Set a shared directory for an OceanStor 9000 cluster.
    1. Log in to the DeviceManager of cluster 1.
    2. Choose Provisioning > Create Share. The Share Settings page is displayed.
    3. In Share type, select NFS(Linux/UNIX/MAC). In Share path, select the created storage path of the video, using /Camera_a for example.
    4. Click Next. The Set Permissions page is displayed.
    5. Click Add. Set the parameters of the UniformView client, as shown in Figure 9-5.

      • Write Mode is irrelevant to UniformView. Retain the default value.
      • The directory is mounted to UniformView in read-only mode whatever value Permission Constraint is set to. Retain the default value.
      • Set Root Permission Constraint to no_root_squash.

    6. Click Next. Then click Finish.
    7. Repeat the preceding substeps to set shared directories for clusters 2 and 3.
  2. Mount storage domains to the shared directories.
    1. Log in to the UniformView client as the root user.
    2. In the installation directory, create an .ini UniformView configuration file.

      cd /home

      vi UniformView.ini

    3. Write the mounting name, shared directory name, and cluster dynamic service IP address of each of the three OceanStor 9000 clusters in the configuration file in the format of Mounting name#Shared directory name#Cluster dynamic service IP address.


    4. Run the mount command to mount storage domains to the shared directories.

      UniformView mount /home/UniformView.ini /home/UniformView.ini is the absolute path of UniformView.ini.

Configure InfoRevive

  1. Check the license.

    InfoRevive is a value-added feature. Before configuring InfoRevive, ensure that the OceanStor 9000 clusters have loaded and activated the license file for this feature.

    1. Log in to the DeviceManager of each cluster.
    2. Choose Settings > License Management.
    3. Check whether the license for InfoRevive is listed in Active License. If the license is not listed in Active License, obtain a correct license file, and import and activate the license. For details, see Importing and Activating a License.
  2. Enable the InfoRevive shared service.
    1. Log in to the DeviceManager of each cluster.
    2. Choose Settings > InfoRevive.
    3. In the middle function pane, set Operating Mode to Read and Write Fault Tolerance Mode.

      • When data writing is completed and only data reading is required, set this mode to Read Fault Tolerance Mode.
      • When read and write operations co-exist, set to Read and Write Fault Tolerance Mode.

    4. Click Save.

Configure eSight

  1. Log in to the eSight management page as the admin user.
  2. In the main menu, choose System > System Settings > Discover Management. The Discover Management page is displayed.
  3. Click Discover.
  4. In the Basic Information area, enter the Management IP address of cluster 1.
  5. In the TLV Protocol area, enter the user name admin and password (Changeme123 by default) of cluster 1.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Repeat the preceding substeps to add clusters 2 and 3 to eSight.
